When push comes to shove you find out who your true friends really are. I guess with my previous post, yes I do hope that people are like me in some way and I am disappointed by people in many ways. I guess in some ways I would like to believe in and have some faith in the goodness of mankind.
My ex husband and I are friends. I keep that friendship since he knows me very well. He and I have a mutual friend. More so his closest friend Black Night. Black Night and Renaissance Fairy are separated and getting divorced. They need help moving. I offered my help. Out of everyone that they know only 3 people showed up to help Black Night originally 5 total throughout the day. One person stayed until about noon. I showed up with Wolfman about 10 am (we got lost trying to find the house) and we were there until 7pm that night. Another person showed up around 3 and was there for 3 hours. Black Night found out who his true friends were that day. He is disabled due to a severe head injury in the past and was not having a good day.
After a short rest and up and down with his talking, black outs and short naps. He started talking to me. Asking me about my divorce and my anger. We talked very openly with one another. I hoped what I shared from my experience is helpful. He was more so amazed at how well My ex husband and I got along. Joking and teasing one another. He was more amazed at how well I got along with my ex husbands fiancee. She really is a nice person when she is given the chance to get to know you and you her. It took us getting divorced to develop communication which would have come in handy while we were married. I hope that Black Night and Renaissance Fairy can do the same. They are great people individually as well as a wonderful couple when they were together. I wish both of them the best of luck and remind them that I will be there for both of them. I am not going to take sides.
