I Have A Floor!!

Mr. Frogman and I were supposed to go on a Boy Scout Camp Out this weekend when he got sick. I spent the weekend instead helping Wolfman and his son Monkey Dude Junior clean their house in return for his help in cleaning one room in mine.

We agreed on this until he found out which room I needed help cleaning. Of course it was my room. No big deal huh? But my floor has been covered in boxes and baskets since I moved in. Pretty much the junk room until I could figure out what to do with it. I finally decided I couldn't live with it that way any longer.

I spent most of the day Saturday helping Wolfman (again him still sick) cleaning his house and putting things away. Sunday, however, he had to help me clean my room. It only took about an hour and a half but we got it done. The biggest challenge was finding a way to set up the DVD player so it would stay up instead of falling sideways. That's really hard to explain given the circumstances. We started by dumping all the clean laundry on the bed (maybe 3 baskets) and clearing out all the boxes from the closet.

The closet had 12 boxes and now it only has 3. I have 2 boxes for my business paperwork in one corner that needs to be filed. Now let me explain boxes, I am not talking shoe boxes I am talking case size paper boxes full to the top and needs 2 people to pick them up. Then I have one box of notebooks that has all of the stories for my book in it. Along with the business notebooks that I use to keep alot of my business paperwork organized.

For those that don't know I still co own a business with my ex-husband, we are still friends. It's awkward for some people to understand and I don't expect anyone to. That's just the way it is. I do all the books for the business on a day to day basis and he runs all the outside operations. Hence the cases of business paperwork and file cabinet.

So from a total of 15 boxes I am down to 6!! Woohooo!! I have so much space now and I even have a floor! It's carpeted too a very nice gray. Very calming and soothing! I expect now since I have everything put away where I like it to be and (hehehe I have a floor), things will go alot more smoothly for me in the mornings. I won't trip my way to the bathroom. :)
